What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Apify is how quickly you can go from idea to working data extraction. The platform makes it super easy to build, test, and schedule scrapers without needing to manage infrastructure. I also really appreciate the marketplace of prebuilt actors — many common scraping needs are already covered, saving tons of time. The combination of proxy support, scheduling, and clear usage tracking gives you a lot of control and flexibility, especially for recurring jobs. For someone with a developer background, it strikes a great balance between ease of use and powerful customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Apify is that handling complex websites with strong anti-bot protections (like CAPTCHA, Cloudflare, or dynamic loading behind login walls) can get tricky and sometimes unreliable. While it’s possible to script around these using Puppeteer or Playwright, it requires a deeper level of technical effort and trial-and-error. Also, the pricing can add up quickly if you’re running high-volume tasks or using residential proxies. It would be great to see more tools or guidance for overcoming advanced bot defenses and optimizing resource usage for more cost-effective runs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’ve been using Apify to extract structured data from various partner websites, and it’s been a great experience. The platform is user-friendly and makes it easy to configure data scraping workflows. I really like the ability to schedule tasks, use proxy rotation, and monitor costs per run. It’s powerful and efficient.

Since it's heavily reliant on user generated integrations, it doesn't always provide a uniform experience. However, the creativity of the user generated apps and transparency helps overcome any issues.
