What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about apify is it's usability and the fact that it is cheap compared to other tools that are available, apify also allows user to customize their preferecnes through their platform which works great in our favour!
What do you dislike about the product?
Apify could improve it's UI and make it less complicated mking it easier for users to navigate through the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify solves many problems such as mass scraping blockers, helps with data extraction through well knows sites, helps with proxy, helps to prevent blocking itself.

The learning curve is steep for non-developers, especially around session management and proxy setup. Error logs can be vague when actors fail due to site changes. Also, some marketplace actors are inconsistently maintained, requiring manual intervention.

It has a great ecosystem of ready-made Actors, and the documentation is surprisingly user-friendly.

The biggest drawback is that it can feel overwhelming at first if you're new to web scraping or API-based platforms. Some parts of the interface, like dataset management or error tracing in large workflows, could be more intuitive. Also, the costs can escalate quickly if you run large or frequent jobs without careful configuration.

It scrapes. That’s the core value. I needed a way to collect structured data from websites without APIs, and Apify lets me do that without being a developer. Some scraping jobs occasionally time out or stall, especially when handling large datasets. The postal code targeting could be more precise — sometimes it pulls in listings from neighboring areas. A built-in de-duplication feature and better bulk URL input interface would also go a long way in boosting efficiency.

I think it's great to have a platform that gives you all the scraping you need. You don't need to build and find different tools and integrations. You have a one-stop shop. Of course, it has its price. But for that you get quality.

It's hard to get a feeling for costs and depending on the actors you use it can get pricy.
But that's the price you pay for the ease of use. Plus, some APIs are just super expensive so it also makes sense.

I needed to implement multiple web-scrapers for different social media platforms and I didn't want to worry about the implementation details for each. Having Apify removes that burden and gives you one platform that enables you to use the webscrapers you need.
