Easy and Effective for Scraping, Although Improvable in Automation
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Apify is easy, simple, and fast to use. I also enjoy the way actors can be set up to scrape websites and search for potential clients. It's very easy to set up a WebScraper, you just have to enter the JSON code of exactly what you want and what it has to search for, and it starts working.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apify could be improved because when many pages are loaded at once, they always get blocked. Being able to search more than 3 or 4 pages without the page getting blocked would be ideal. It would also be useful to automate more the download process and the process of loading URLs for scraping, as currently they have to be entered manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify provides me with many email addresses of potential clients.

The Crawlee library is excellent for building reliable scrapers with built-in retries, and the CLI allows me to develop locally and deploy with ease. The MCP server integration works perfectly for connecting my Actors with AI agents. I highly value the n8n community nodes for connecting with a vast network of automation builders. The built-in marketplace and automated billing are crucial for scaling my passive income. Features like the cookie modal blocker save significant compute cycles and provide clean AI-ready data. The initial setup was straightforward, thanks to the Apify CLI and pre-configured templates, making it easy to deploy my first Actor to the cloud. I would rate Apify a 10 out of 10 as it is the ultimate platform for developers looking to scale scrapers into a professional business without the headache of managing infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is powerful, the steep learning curve for building and customizing complex Actors can be challenging for developers just starting out. Additionally, the usage-based pricing model can feel a bit complex to estimate, and the costs for compute units and residential proxies can escalate quickly as your projects begin to scale.

I use Apify to build web scraping Actors, eliminating server management and effortlessly scaling projects. It bypasses bot protections, allowing me to focus on complex scraping logic without overhead.

I’ve been using Apify mainly for YouTube Scraper and Instagram Scraper, and overall, the experience has been very positive. The platform is easy to use, cloud-based, and offers ready-made scrapers that save a lot of time. The Instagram Scraper works smoothly for pulling posts, hashtags, and comments, while the YouTube Scraper is great for extracting video data without much hassle. I also appreciate that Apify provides scalability, scheduling options, and integration with APIs, which makes automation feel effortless.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that could be better. Pricing can get expensive if you’re running large-scale scrapes, and sometimes the scrapers need tweaking when platforms change their structures.

Overall, I pretty much love everything about it.

I mean, definitely, if there was a way to give us some more free credits for sure. That will be appreciated.

I appreciate that Apify was pretty fast when I used it for running Sherlock to search for nicknames on social media. I like that it worked perfectly for me during the one time I used it. I also enjoyed the free trial, as it meant I didn't have to pay for a single use. The initial setup was pretty easy too; just a couple of clicks and it was done.

I also really appreciate how it allows me to integrate with tools like Make.com and my outreach platform, Snov.io, seamlessly. Plus, I recommend it all the time!

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the interface and the unique and attractive design of Apify, which makes the user experience not boring. Additionally, Apify facilitates integration into the applications I create, such as SIMRS, because the process is simple and there are many actor options. I appreciate that there are no serious issues due to the easy integration and the availability of many actors. I like it because everything is done quickly, no hassle—I just choose an actor, set the parameters, and it's done. The initial setup is also very easy, no need for coding, no need for Docker, and no need for a proxy server, everything is very simple. Apify is also quick in providing responses, which is one of the reasons why my team switched to Apify.
What do you dislike about the product?
Error logs are often too technical, making it somewhat difficult to check why the error occurred.

I use Apify for easy integration in my application, with diverse actors. Apify makes integration simpler and faster without requiring much technical configuration.
