Can I use my security investments effectively?
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspect is being able to see in real time how effectively I'm detecting and preventing cyberattacks. Being able to measure the effectiveness of both my external and internal security measures is a tremendous comfort.
What do you dislike about the product?
I expect automated processes to become more efficient. Manually managing workflows in large environments is difficult. Advanced automation and workflow integrations would be fantastic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measuring the Effectiveness of Security Controls: I can make it visible through real attack simulations whether systems such as antivirus, EDR, WAF, IPS are preventing attacks.
Being able to see a possible attack even if I don't actually experience one: Even with logs, SIEM, and alerts, it's impossible to know if there's a real vulnerability in the system until something happens. However, with Picus, I can identify defense vulnerabilities through continuous attack tests.
With Picus, I can test the effectiveness of security products, identify gaps, and receive improvement suggestions. By running continuous attack simulations, I can gauge whether cyber defenses are truly ready.

I wish there were more tips or tooltips for new users. It’s not hard to use, but some guidance would help early on.

It shows us which types of attacks we’re not prepared for. This helps us fix those gaps before they can be exploited.
Great Visibility and Proactive Protection, Even for Non-Security Teams
What do you like best about the product?
As a junior developer, I really appreciated how accessible Picus Security is. The interface is user-friendly, and it doesn’t overwhelm you with overly technical language. It was easy to follow simulations and understand how different threats could impact our game servers. It also made me more conscious of writing more secure backend code. The platform helped us work better with the security team without feeling lost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not much. Maybe for beginners like me, a bit more contextual learning or built-in tips would be helpful, but overall it was a very smooth experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us test how vulnerable our services and APIs might be against different cyberattacks. That gave us a chance to fix issues early, even in the development stage. For someone new like me, seeing real attack simulations made the concept of “security-first coding” much more real. It also helped us feel more confident before releasing builds.

The actionable insights and mitigation recommendations save a lot of time and help us strengthen our defense posture proactively.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is overall excellent, initial configuration and integration with certain third-party tools can take some effort. That said, Picus's support team is very responsive and helpful during the setup process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Picus Security helps us validate the effectiveness of our security controls continuously, without waiting for real-world incidents to test our defenses. It addresses the challenge of not knowing whether our tools actually work as expected against modern threats. By simulating real attack scenarios, we can identify weak points, misconfigurations, or outdated signatures early and fix them proactively. This has significantly improved our security posture, saved time for the SOC team, and helped us comply with internal and external audit requirements more efficiently.

It offers a rich MITRE ATTCK-based scenario library and clear reports that make it easy to spot gaps. Setup and usage are very straightforward.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy to see which attacks your system can stop and which ones it can’t. Picus shows you clear results after running tests, so you know what to fix. I also like that the attack scenarios are based on real-world threats and are updated often.

The interface can be a bit hard to understand at first. Some features are not very clear without training or guidance. Also, sometimes it takes a while to run the simulations, especially if you're testing a lot of things at once.

Picus helps us understand whether our security tools are actually working against real-world threats. Instead of just hoping our defenses are enough, we can test them with real attack simulations. This shows us where the gaps are, so we can fix them before a real attacker takes advantage. It saves time, improves our detection rules, and helps the team feel more confident about our security posture.

I find the implementation of the connecting concepts, which fully integrate the blue and red teams, to be successful. The simulations are quite close to real life.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no feature that I do not like, but there are aspects that can be improved as in every product.

As a result of realistic and critical attack scenarios, it enabled me to write nearly 400 security rules in the QRadar system and strengthen the organization's defense.
