What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little to dislike about the latest version. The platform is extremely feature-rich, which means new users might need some time to fully explore its capabilities. However, the learning curve is well worth it, as the benefits in visibility, automation, and security posture improvement far outweigh the initial setup time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Picus Security addresses one of the most critical challenges in cybersecurity: the inability to continuously validate and measure the effectiveness of security controls against evolving threats. Traditionally, organizations had to rely on periodic penetration tests or incident-driven responses, which left long gaps where vulnerabilities could go undetected.
With Picus, we can simulate real-world cyberattacks on an ongoing basis, identifying misconfigurations, outdated rules, and ineffective defenses before attackers do. This proactive approach not only closes security gaps faster but also optimizes the performance of our existing security investments by ensuring they work as intended.
The platform’s detailed remediation guidance accelerates our response time, while its automation reduces the operational burden on our security team. This has resulted in a measurable improvement in our security posture, reduced risk of breaches, and increased confidence from stakeholders and clients.

Powerful Security Validation, But Not Without Trade-Offs
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Picus Security is how it takes a practical, proactive approach to cybersecurity. Instead of waiting for something to go wrong, Picus simulates real-world attacks to show exactly where your defenses are weak and then provides clear, tailored recommendations to fix them. It goes beyond just pointing out problems by offering concrete solutions based on your actual tools and setup. I also appreciate how quickly they respond to new threats, often adding them to their platform within a day. It feels like having a smart, always-on partner helping you stay one step ahead.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think the biggest drawback is how expensive and hands-on it can be many organizations find the continuous licensing cost high, and deploying the platform requires people and processes to interpret results and act on them, which not all teams are resourced to do
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Picus Security solves the problem of not knowing if your security tools are truly working as intended. It continuously runs realistic attack simulations based on current threats to show where your defenses are strong and where they are failing. This helps uncover gaps in firewalls, endpoint protection, and other systems that might otherwise go unnoticed. The benefit for me is the clarity and control it provides. I can identify specific weaknesses, apply the platform’s clear recommendations, and confidently track improvements over time. It turns cybersecurity from a guessing game into a process I can actually manage and improve.
