Sage Intacct - Streamlined Accounting and Reporting

What do you like best about the product?
very easy, and I can easily adjust prior months and add back any necessary amounts. Plus, the ability to close books ensures entries aren’t posted to the wrong periods. Another huge advantage is how easily it allows me to upload budgets and compare them with actuals. My clients always appreciate how quickly I can make adjustments and send them the updated reports. Intacct also consolidates multiple entities with just one click. I have been working with Intacct for quite a while now, and it just works flawlessly with minimal downtime. Coming to the onboarding setup of a new client, We can easily add vendors, employees to the intacct which helps in picking up while posting entries. As a controller in my organisation, I have to use Intacct on daily basis to help provide my deliverabales. Also the best feature we have in Intacct for AP module is, it easily integrates with Bill.com. And coming to any issues with Intacct, our tech customer team will resolve it at the earliest without effecting the delivery timelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I have noticed is that Intacct tends to hang sometimes when I try to generate large reports, especially the Portal P&L tabular report for a full year. It struggles with heavy data loads. I have also faced occasional issues when generating revenue reports, where the system would fail or time out. One last thing is Intacct would logout if there is no activity, if there is possibility to increase this inactivity time, it would be
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct is solving a lot of problems for me in accounting. I don’t have to spend time making all the financial reports manually anymore, Intacct takes care of that, so I can focus more on reviewing the numbers and replying to clients or audit questions. It also lets me pull the supporting docs attached to journal entries, which makes things easier during review or audit.

For AP automation, once bills are posted in Bill.com, Intacct picks them up automatically. It doesn’t miss any details like vendor name or other important info, which is super helpful. Eariler there were issues with Service provider details before using Intacct and now because of Bill integration to intacct there are no issues.

In revenue management, one of my clients was using Maxio for O2C before, but they weren’t happy with it. We moved them to Intacct’s revenue module, and it worked way better. Now, journal entries are posted automatically from the contracts entered in the system. This removed a lot of manual work, and I saved a lot of time on reviews since there’s no manual errors happening.

It works well but a has a bit of a learning curve

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it accomplishes everything we need it for - what I use it for within my company is to submit expense reports after traveling or to ask for reimbursement on purchasing things like software. We implemented it earlier this year, so have been using it less than a year. Once I figured it out, it is fairly easy to submit expense reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I definitely had a pretty steep learning curve when trying to figure out Sage, specifically when we first switched over from our prior platform. I couldn't really figure out where things were. I still have a bit of a difficult time accessing prior expense reports that I have submitted. To be honest, I don't have to use it that frequently so I'm sure I would be better at the platform if I had to use it daily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Within my company I use Sage to submit expense reports after traveling

Powerful for Nonprofits with Multi-Entity and Grant Needs—But Needs a UX Refresh

What do you like best about the product?
As an Accounting Manager in the nonprofit sector overseeing multiple staff and complex fund/grant tracking, Sage Intacct has been a game changer. The multi-entity capabilities are excellent, and the ability to tag transactions by dimensions (location, project, department, etc.) gives us clean reporting across properties and funding streams. Dashboards and performance cards allow me to monitor AR/AP, grants, and monthly close tasks in real time—super useful for managing a team. I also appreciate the automation tools like checklists, recurring JE templates, and smart rules/triggers that we use to keep processes tight. The fact that it integrates with ADP and has strong compliance/reporting features (e.g., SEFA prep, 401(k) oversight, etc.) has saved us a ton of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface feels clunky at times, especially for newer staff. Navigation is not always intuitive, and too many clicks are required for common tasks. I’d also love to see better bulk editing options for things like vendor updates or report group management. Some features (like checklist audit trails and role-based dashboard controls) are more rigid than they should be. Also, while reporting is powerful, it can take a while to build exactly what you need unless you’re very experienced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct has solved a number of pain points we used to face as a growing nonprofit managing complex funding sources, property acquisitions, and multi-department operations. It has drastically improved our ability to track and report on restricted vs. unrestricted funds, grants, HUD contracts, and property-specific financials—all in one place without relying on spreadsheets. The dimensional accounting allows us to easily slice financials by project, funder, and location, which is crucial for audit prep and board reporting. It’s also helped streamline our monthly close with tools like checklist templates, role-based dashboards, and recurring entries. As a manager, I benefit from real-time visibility into my team’s workload and deadlines, which helps me support them without micromanaging. Overall, it’s made our accounting more scalable, auditable, and efficient as we continue to grow.

Very user friendly and easy to master.

What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct's functionality covers from creation of transactions to posting of every subledger transactions to their respective journals, up to the reflection in the reports. The data is very easy to retrieve and you can customize through "slice and dice" the reports that suits your needs. The way the applications and modules are sorted and presented in the UI are very easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the only downsides is that the error prompts of system limitations are not detailed enough for an administrator to easily go to the root of the issue. But Intacct's customer and partner support are very helpful in getting issues fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct helps our clients simplify their accounting processes through real-time posting to respective subledgers which are then flowed up to the general ledger and then the reports.

Intacct Is Very Useful!

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I currently have been using the import feature in the GL more often. I love that this allows me to make entries more quickly.
Also, for processing 1099s this year, the 1099 report was a very useful feature in helping us complete it.
We also had an issue with the speed as of recent, but it was resolved quickly by your support team!
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though the import feature in the GL is great when it works, it is not ideal when it comes to helping us identify errors in our imports when there is one. The error report that is sent to us is immensely confusing. If it could be simplified and more clear in what the errors are, that would be fantastic!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not aware of any "problems" that we have at the moment. Overall, Intacct has been great.

What do you dislike about the product?

Great for multiple entities

What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct has been an excellent solution for our business, especially when managing multiple entities. The intercompany support is a standout feature, making it seamless to handle transactions and reporting across different companies.

The platform is also easy to navigate, with an intuitive interface that shortens the learning curve for new users. Building and customizing reports is straightforward, and the reporting tools are powerful—providing clear, accurate insights without unnecessary complexity.

Overall, Sage Intacct has streamlined our financial processes and given us reliable visibility across the organization. It’s a strong choice for businesses looking for efficiency and scalability

Customer Support is always helpful and quick to respond.
What do you dislike about the product?
Accounts Receivable (AR) functionality leaves room for improvement. We currently rely on an outside POS system, and Intacct does not allow us to attach PDFs directly to invoices and send them to customers. As a result, much of our AR follow-up has to be handled outside the platform, which creates extra steps in the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running 30+ entities and consoldiating all the data together
