The standout strength of Sage Intacct is how well it combines deep financial automation with real‑time visibility, especially for organizations that have complexity—multi‑entity structures, project accounting, subscription billing, or rapid growth. Majorly the lack of visibility where you have different verticals/companies running under one umbrella

It does so many different things that i feel like I dont know all its capabilities

It keeps our accounting workflow concise, and I feel it’s efficient.
Flexible, Powerful Reporting That Streamlines Financial Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Sage Intacct is its flexibility and strong reporting capabilities. The use of dimensions makes it easy to analyze financial data across departments, projects, or locations without creating an overly complex chart of accounts. I also appreciate how easy it is to drill down into transactions to understand where numbers are coming from. Being cloud-based and integrating well with other systems also helps streamline workflows and collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Sage Intacct is that some processes are not as intuitive as they could be, especially for new users. Certain tasks require several steps or navigating through multiple menus, which can take time to learn. Customizing reports and configurations can also require a deeper understanding of the system, so there can be a learning curve for teams that are new to the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct helps centralize our financial data and automate several accounting processes that used to be more manual. It improves visibility into financial performance by allowing us to track results across different dimensions like departments, projects, or locations. This makes reporting more flexible and helps management get clearer insights when making decisions. It has also made our month-end close and reconciliations more organized and easier to manage.
Easy to Use, Essential for Organizing Finances
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Sage Intacct is easy to use and super helpful with pulling things together. It organizes accounts payable and receivable, making processes smoother. It also helps with company flow by letting us know when things are about to be up and who did what. Additionally, I've learned a lot while using it, and the initial setup was super easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
The submit button being next to the draft button and accidently submitting something
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct organizes accounts payable and receivable, makes processes easy to use, and helps with company flow by letting us know when things are due and who did what.
Powerful Accounting Features, But Support Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I understand the back end tables like GLDETAIL, APBILL, and GLACCOUNTBALANCE. It's also easy to navigate, which makes it easier to create custom reports if needed or leverage software like Tableau or Velixo.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been waiting for this question. I have a huge issue with Sage support. I submit a number of tickets and they rarely get resolved. The typical Intacct customer service response is formulaic. They more often than not steer you towards articles that you have to read. These articles do not help. Customer support is the biggest thing. If you have a good support team, you can accomplish anything you need. Sage is limited and they won't let you do anything without paying for it. It's hard to get anyone on the phone to workshop issues or ideas without paying money. Account Managers aren't equipped with the knowledge to resolve issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct helps maintain our ledgers and record AP bills, cash, and accounting entries all in the same place.
Streamlined Consolidation, Needs Workflow Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like the intercompany feature at top level and the consolidation of the supplier and customers. The supplier consolidation highlights any duplicate invoices at both head office and academy level. It also gives us extra security regarding bank changes, as only admin users can change them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggle with the purchasing workflow. If someone is off sick or on holiday leave, it's very manual to change the PO approver department, rather than being able to put them on 'holiday' and getting it to go to someone else. The initial setup was quite time-consuming, and the test system wasn't quite usable to be able to test properly. There were a lot of things Sage Intacct didn't tell us about setup, which caused a lot of problems which we are still having to fix two years later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct solves cloud-based system challenges with consolidated functionality. I like how supplier consolidation highlights duplicate invoices and enhances security by restricting bank changes to admin users.
Great for Accounting, but Report Writing Could Be Smoother
What do you like best about the product?
It’s really great software to use for accounting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Writing reports is the part I like the least.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tasks like month-end closing, invoicing, and reconciliation can take too long when done by hand. Sage Intacct automates these processes, speeding up closes and reducing errors.

What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Sage Intacct is that customization and report building can sometimes feel complex for new users and may require additional training. Additionally, certain advanced features or integrations can increase overall costs, which may be a concern for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct solves core financial management challenges by automating accounting processes, improving accuracy, and providing real-time visibility into financials. It eliminates manual data entry and disparate spreadsheets, enabling faster close cycles and clearer insights into performance. This benefits me by saving time, reducing errors, and giving reliable financial data to support better decision-making.
Intuitive and Flexible, Though Some Processes Feel Too Complicated
What do you like best about the product?
It is intuitive. Easy to use and has great storage capabilities. I like that you can open multiple windows and copy and paste between windows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some processes are too complicated. Adding a GL code through multiple modules. The budgeting module is archaic. The importing feature is cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None that affect our business directly.
Comfortable to Use, Seamless Syncing with Bill.com and Rippling
What do you like best about the product?
I'm using sage intact for over 3 years. I feel very comfortable using it. very good it is automatically syncing with bill.com and rippling platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd prefer that sage intact was automatically synced with concur as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has very complicated AR module. and sometimes it is difficult to clean the AR aging.
