What do you like best about the product?
The product is very reliable. The instances that facilitates my environment has never had an outage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can think of at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It supports my Manage File Transmission solution and also holds history data for my workload automation system.

What do you like best about the product?
DB2 databases allow for easy access to data to create reporting. It allows for developers and users to determine the information that is needed to meet their goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complains with DB2 at this time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With DB2 for z/OS, we are able to quickly deliver data mining solutions. We often are able to generate ad-hoc reporting capabilities that we are able to provide to our internal customers to empower them to generate their own reports moving forward, saving resources and getting them what they need quicker.

Keep it on the mainframe baby

What do you like best about the product?
This database product is the preferred choice for large businesses. The speed and ability is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we have issues they are highly visible. Often DB2 is incorrectly blamed for issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently I am working with our mobile application DB2 backend tables. The speed and ability is great.

I have no knowledge of any issues with db2 since i don't manage the actual product, just the systems that the product runs on.

Automation of processes, and applicaiton development in Z/os.

Easy to use, easy to integrate into other tools.

Upgrades, promises of being able to identify unused databases to only find out later not 100% confident of old version being used.

Next version on mainframe not more full upgrades, "A new way"!

What do you like best about the product?
Rich set of enterprise features with true HADR, exceptional performance. Great data compression
What do you dislike about the product?
One major problem is pricing for small customers. Difficult to understand, the product is great but there are few new customers in Sweden, which makes it hard to keep skilled resources.

One of customers had high costs for their Mainframe solution with high transactional costs, so we implemented and mirrored Dasta warehouse on distributed enironment
