DataDog has been game changing for our organization!

  • September 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The APM and RUM are the two main products our team uses, and has 10x our observability setup.

We really love the seamless view of requests through our systems.

The service map is also super useful for onboarding actually.
What do you dislike about the product?
We're still fairly new to Datadog, so don't have much to pull from, but I would say sometimes the UI/UX gets a bit confusing the deeper you get into panels and views.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Datadog has replaced our organization's reliance on many different tools in a single package.

We used to use Sentry, self-hosted ELK stack, Grafana, Jaeger, OpsGenie, etc.

The best part is that Datadog does all the different things these other tools did, but better.

The automatic instrumentation has been my favorite part.

Seamless UI analytics and session replay

  • September 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The UI integration with APM, session replay and UI analytics like LCP are very convenient. I enjoy the easy way of following user sessions on different environments and filter by devices. Dashboard creation is very intuitive. Implementing on a real project is very straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes its a bit tricky to match the UI logs with the BE information, mostly configuring and finding tracing has been a little challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Datadog is super useful for incident analysis and log checking. This allows applications to have a quick response to any problem that might appear on dev or production. I would say that analysis and optimization is an area that helps a lot.
