It's a really immersive platform :)
What do you like best about the product?
There are very informative help for almost all tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The copy functionality not works properly all time. There were some problems regarding hungarian keyboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have learnt a lot about cloud security.
Great learning platform, especially for someone like myself who is new to the infosec field
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful aspect of immersive labs is the practical labs that come with each lab. Supplementing reading with some practical work where you can apply the knowledge and skills learned dramatically improves knowledge retention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some labs are not so great at explaining what other skills may be required first before attempting a lab. In some cases, I have had to go away and find other skills to learn first before returning to the lab. Would be great if all labs have a list of skills required before attempting them (some labs do this already).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem i'm solving is my relatively small amount of experience within infosec. As a newcomer to this field, immersive labs has provided me with a lot of the fundamental skills required for me to do my job better. Furthermore, it's a great one stop place to learn about other skills and fields within infosec.
Excellent learning into Cyber-Security
What do you like best about the product?
Immersive labs takes on a different approach to online learning than most others. Instead of presentations and 'experts' going on and on, Immersive labs make the subject fun and challenging and teaches at the same time
What do you dislike about the product?
The frustration of not knowing an answer or knowing a bit of it but not having the full correct answer that the question is looking for, it needs the exact answer, including spaces!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Kali and other tools to solve problems and issues seen in Cyber-Security. Sometimes there is more than one way to crack a nut!
Bite sized hands-on exposure
What do you like best about the product?
The convenience of on-demand labs that provide hands-on exposure to tools and concepts, coupled with the ability to stop and recommence a lab later. A far superior offering to the competitions one-way, video-only 'training'. Having on-demand virtual labs avoids having to build one's own lab environment, and the ability to exit a lab, and resume later with the current state of progress is, well, its akin to "load saved game"!
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not instructor-led, and one is left to 'fend for oneself'; essentially, one relies on "google-fu". For the Java labs, if one has no prior experience, this can lead to training for the answer rather than training for the language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I innitially started using ImmersiveLabs taking advantage of the TechVets program. When the Army Reserve started to build its cyber-capability under Project Pedlar, I took signed up for the project to gain more hands-on experience with some of the tools, and gain awareness of concepts in new areas such as risk management, ITSM, and exposure to new tools.
Immersive learning
What do you like best about the product?
The labs are beneficial for hands-on learning of a variety of challenges as per everyone's level.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say there is anything to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in offensive security, and I use these labs to upskill myself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
great tool for upskilling yourself in the domain of cyber security and related fields.
Great gamified cyber training platform with MITTRE alignment
What do you like best about the product?
The range of complexity in labs to ensure it can be used by all levels of technicality
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the labs could use more pointers/hints as it can be difficult to progress if you get stuck on a hard lab
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to map training labs to mitre attack framework to fill skills gaps
Super educating and fast with relevant labs
What do you like best about the product?
How fast the timeframe of the labs get developed. Hereby i mean that it get released when its still relevant, for example log4j was fairly quickly release and could be used for our IR
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes that i get stuck during the labs i can't seem to find help, and need to abandon the lab, which is not cool. I would rather have tips&tricks that could help me solve the lab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The huge gap there is in the security market. I can't say how we are financially benefitting from this, but i tend to be more updated on the latest threats etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Help on labs
Great platform to learn CyberSecurity
What do you like best about the product?
Large variety of topics which can be practically learned through their lab enviroment. Laddeboard which you can track yourself and colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of CTF content, also labs are isolated from the internet so already made CTF's need to be done with the tools of the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learned variety of topics by practically doing the labs instead of reading about it.
Great lab content
What do you like best about the product?
The lab content is updated regularly. Provides a good channel to learn offensive and defensive tactics. Good exposure to the environment to practice. One may search for a topic/role to learn and practice. Time spent in the lab may be used for CPE.
What do you dislike about the product?
Immersive labs does not provide the answers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reading about latest vulnerability and able to try it out on the lab sessions. Keep my technical skill updated on the cyber security information.
2 years exp with imlabs
What do you like best about the product?
Great platform to learn with fun (if you like to hack). I can also build many other skills without time-consuming configuration of environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reconnections, too small interfaces with rdp. Not clear instructions in some labs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I tried to launch vms or containers similar to imlabs I had many problems. Here is everything fine out of the box.
