What documentation does AWS Europe provide to help me understand my billing and tax liability?

AWS Europe provides four pieces of documentation in the Billing and Cost Management console to help you understand your billing and tax liability:

  • The request for payment is an invoice that includes a summary of charges, credits, and taxes for AWS services. You can find payment remittance information on the request for payment or in the AWS Management Console. Download the request for payment in PDF form from the Bills page of the Billing and Cost Management console.
Note: If you are a payer account for a consolidated billing family, the request for payment also includes details for all your linked accounts.
  • A VAT invoice is an official tax record that can help you meet your local tax obligations. In most countries, if AWS charges you VAT, a VAT invoice is issued. In countries where AWS does not collect VAT, a VAT invoice might still be issued to enable you to self-assess VAT, if required by local regulations. Download the VAT invoice in PDF form from the Bills page of the Billing and Cost Management console.
  • A receipt is a summary of your usage and charges. You receive a Receipt if AWS doesn't charge you VAT, or if there is no requirement to issue a VAT Invoice. Download the receipt in PDF form from the Bills page of the Billing and Cost Management console.
