AWS re:Invent 2019 – Christopher Cerruto of Avis Budget Group Talks About Cloud Transformation

Avis Budget Group provides mobility solutions in more than 180 countries with three of the most recognized brands in the industry: Avis, Budget, and Zipcar. Two years ago, the company decided to work with AWS to make a revolutionary transformation, helping ensure it could provide customers with on-demand services, mobile applications, and greater personalization and transparency—as well as position Avis Budget to meet evolving customer needs in the future. Avis Budget leverages the AWS Connected Vehicle Solution for its Global Telematics Hub, which collects vehicle data from across the fleet into a single environment. It uses AWS Lambda for serverless compute, Amazon SageMaker for real-time analytics, and Amazon Redshift and Amazon EMR for its advanced data and BI platform, global enterprise data lake, real-time data warehouse, and visualization tools.
