Jaguar Land Rover Builds Experiences for Tomorrow’s Drivers Using AWS
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) combines the heritage of two iconic British automotive brands while continuing to innovate in a rapidly changing industry. Customers expect more autonomous, connected, and electrified vehicles, so Jaguar Land Rover is using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to share its application programming interfaces (APIs) with trusted partners to innovate faster. In this video, Peter Virk, the company’s director of connected car and future technology, explains how the company is using AWS to integrate new, cloud-based technology into Jaguar Land Rover cars. For example, JLR has added Amazon Alexa features to vehicles, including the fully electric Jaguar I-PACE, so that customers can ask Alexa whether their car has enough range to complete their journey. Engineers are also using cloud-based analytics to improve battery performance, helping customers ensure batteries are fully charged for their journey.
