We’ve updated the AWS Direct Connect Management Console to make it easier for you to work with connections. The console now proactively identifies actions that you need to take to complete connection provisioning, such as ordering a cross-connect, or configuring BGP. Using the new console, you can choose the IP addresses to use when creating virtual interfaces to connect to a VPC and you can specify the BGP MD5 authentication key you wish to use.
You can also now use the AWS Direct Connect Management Console to access multiple AWS accounts (such as those owned by different departments in your organization) to connect to their Amazon Virtual Private Cloud VPCs.
Finally, in addition to 1Gbps and 10Gbps connections, AWS Direct Connect now supports connections at speeds of 50 – 500Mbps that can be ordered via select Amazon Partner Network (APN) partners at all of our 11 worldwide locations. Learn more by visiting the AWS Direct Connect homepage.
We hope you find these new features useful. If you have any questions, we invite you to use any of our support resources to have them answered, and we welcome your feedback on the updated console.
