We’re delighted to announce that AWS Data Pipeline now supports Amazon Redshift. You can now accomplish two new tasks using AWS Data Pipeline:

  • Load data directly from either DynamoDB or S3 to Amazon Redshift
  • Run SQL queries on Amazon Redshift data

You now can use AWS Data Pipeline to easily create scalable workflows to integrate data across AWS services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon Relational Database Service, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Elastic Map Reduce, Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift and on-premises data sources.

Support for Amazon Redshift unlocks new use cases within AWS Data Pipeline. For example, you can ingest weblogs stored on S3, analyze them using Amazon EMR / Hive, output the results to Amazon S3, load the results into Amazon Redshift and run periodic SQL queries to create reports.
