Amazon CloudWatch Logs - Cross Account Subscriptions

Posted on: Aug 10, 2015

We are happy to announce the immediate availability of cross-account subscriptions for Amazon CloudWatch Logs along with a sample project on GitHub to help you get started.

With cross-account CloudWatch Logs subscriptions, you can perform custom logs processing across multiple accounts. For example, you can use cross-account subscriptions to perform centralized custom logs processing on VPC Flow Logs from across all of the accounts for your company.

To get started with subscriptions, you can find our sample project in the AWS Labs GitHub repository at https://github.com/awslabs/cloudwatch-logs-subscription-consumer. The sample automatically provisions and delivers logs to an Elasticsearch cluster with a Kibana dashboard for visualization, can be launched directly from GitHub with a single click, and can be configured to deliver your logs to an S3 bucket. Standard AWS charges apply to resources created by the project on your behalf.
