Amazon EC2 Container Service Supports Amazon CloudWatch Monitoring

You can now use Amazon CloudWatch to monitor average and aggregate CPU and memory utilization of running tasks as grouped by Cluster or Service. You can use these metrics for many purposes, for example:

• Automatically scaling the container instances in your cluster using EC2 Auto Scaling
• Monitoring the performance and health of your service
• Alarming when you need to scale your service to handle incoming requests
