Today, we are introducing a new console-based GUI for the AWS Application Discovery Service which makes it easier for you to visualize applications running in on-premises data centers, their associated dependencies, and their performance profile in the AWS Management Console.
Planning data center migrations can involve thousands of applications and servers that are often deeply interdependent. Application discovery is an important first step in the migration process, but can be difficult to perform at scale due to the lack of automated tools. Earlier this year, we released the AWS Application Discovery Service, to help customers streamline the migration planning process by identifying application inventory and interdependencies between applications automatically.
With a new easy-to-use console interface, customers can simply start data collection, group discovered servers into applications, and visualize detailed information about each server, including basic system data, performance, server interdependencies, and network topology.
