AWS IoT Now Supports Integration with Salesforce IoT Cloud

Posted on: Jun 5, 2017

AWS IoT customers can now route messages from devices directly to Salesforce IoT Cloud with a new AWS IoT Rules Engine Action.

The combination of AWS IoT and Salesforce IoT Cloud allows you to enrich the messages coming from your devices with customer data residing in Salesforce, and act on those newly created insights within the Salesforce ecosystem.

For example, when an AWS IoT-connected product reports a critical failure, a customer case gets created in Salesforce Service Cloud which instructs a technician to go on-site and perform repairs.

To see a demonstration of this integration, visit the AWS YouTube channel.

Refer to the AWS IoT developer documentation for more information on how to use this new action, or sign in to the console to try it.

To learn more about the service, visit the AWS IoT site. To learn more about Salesforce IoT Cloud, visit the Salesforce site.

This new feature is available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Seoul), EU (London), EU (Frankfurt) and EU (Ireland) public AWS regions.
