AWS Service Catalog, used by enterprises, system integrators, and managed service providers to create, govern, and manage a catalog of IT services, is announcing enhancements to the Service Catalog console. These changes provide a simplified user experience to find and launch products in the catalog.
With the new AWS Service Catalog console, products are shown as detailed cards with information such as product description, distributor, and owner. Product actions are readily accessible from the card. For example, AWS Service Catalog Administrators can take actions such as adding a product to a portfolio or deleting a product, and users can launch a product or update a provisioned product. All users also receive the ability to search across product metadata, and have simpler navigation that focuses on AWS Service Catalog products and actions. Users can choose between the product card or list view to find, launch, update, and terminate products more quickly. The console uses a responsive design to provide better usability across device types.
