New Products for Managed Rules on AWS WAF
Today, we announce 3 new managed rule products on AWS WAF from F5 Networks. With this launch we now have 6 Sellers (F5 Networks, Imperva, Fortinet, Trend Micro, Alert Logic and TrustWave) with 14 managed rule products that you can subscribe to either via the AWS Marketplace or from within the AWS WAF Console.
What are Managed Rules on AWS WAF? These are set of rules written, curated and managed by AWS Marketplace Sellers that can be easily deployed in front of your web applications running behind AWS Application Load Balancer or Amazon CloudFront. They protect you against common threats like the OWASP Top 10 security risks, threats specific to Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress or Joomla, or even emerging Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE). Managed Rules for AWS WAF are designed to help you spend less time writing firewall rules and more time building applications.
The 3 new products from F5 Networks protect you against (1) a broad range of malicious bot activities such as vulnerability scanners, web scrapers, DDoS tools, and forum spam tools, (2) common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVE), and (3) web attacks that are part of the OWASP Top 10, such as: SQLi, XSS, command injection, No-SQLi injection, path traversal, and predictable resource.
