Random Cut Forest Algorithm now Available in Amazon SageMaker

Posted on: Apr 25, 2018

Random Cut Forest (RCF) is the latest built-in algorithm now available for Amazon SageMaker, a fully-managed platform that enables developers and data scientists to quickly and easily build, train, and deploy machine learning models at any scale.

RCF is an unsupervised machine learning algorithm for detecting data points that diverge from otherwise well-structured or patterned data set. Detecting these anomalies in data can be critical in a variety of applications – such as identifying fraud detection and incorrectly-priced products as a retailer, or monitoring the health of emergency room patients. The Amazon SageMaker RCF algorithm is optimized to deliver high performance even when dealing with extremely large-scale, large-dimensional datasets.
