New AWS Certification Policies Offer Customers More Choices and Flexibility
We have extended our recertification period so customers can now recertify every three years instead of two, by taking the latest version of the full-length exam, rather than a standalone recertification exam. AWS Certified individuals now have access to a 50% discount voucher that they can apply to this or any other exam. These vouchers will be available in the AWS Certification Account by February 28, 2019. As of March 3, 2019, we will no longer offer standalone recertification exams.
At the end of 2018, AWS Certification removed prerequisite requirements on all of its exams. With this policy change, customers now have the option to attempt any exam, regardless of the level or type. This policy change reduces the time and expense for customers to pursue the certification exam they feel is most appropriately matched to their skills, professional experience, and interests.
