AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM) is now available in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region

Posted on: Apr 25, 2019

You can now use AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM) in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region, an AWS Region designed to host sensitive data and regulated workloads in the cloud for customers who have U.S. federal, state, and local government compliance requirements.

AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM) provides you a simple way to securely share your AWS resources across AWS accounts or within your AWS organization. You can now centrally create resources in a multi-account environment, and you can use AWS RAM to share those resources across your accounts. This reduces operational overhead while maintaining the benefits of a multi-account strategy. Using AWS RAM to share resources eliminates the need for you to create duplicate resources in each of your accounts and drives down costs. At this time, you can share Transit Gateways and subnets using AWS RAM, which is available at no additional charge
