Amazon Managed Apache Cassandra Service (MCS), a scalable, highly available, and managed Apache Cassandra–compatible database service, now enables you to manage access to resources based on tags.
Tags are key-value labels that you can attach to resources such as keyspaces and tables to help you identify, organize, and search for resources. For example, you can use tags to categorize resources by project, owner, environment, or other criteria. Now, you also can use tags to manage which Amazon MCS resources AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) users and roles are allowed to access. For example, you can define an IAM policy that grants or denies an IAM user access to Amazon MCS resources that are tagged for a specific project.
There is no additional cost to use tag-based access management, and support for tagging is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon MCS (preview) is offered.
For more information, see Adding Tags and Labels to Resources in the Amazon MCS Developer Guide.
