Amazon Comprehend Medical is now available in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region
Amazon Comprehend Medical is a natural language processing service that makes it easy to use machine learning to extract relevant medical information from unstructured text. This service API is now available in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region.
Using Amazon Comprehend Medical, you can quickly and accurately gather information such as medications and their dosage, strength, and frequency; medical conditions; and test results. Comprehend medical also extracts references to personal health information (PHI). This information can be extracted from a variety of sources, such as doctors’ notes, clinical trial reports, and patient health records. Comprehend medical offers both synchronous APIs to extract medical entities document-by-document, or batching APIs to extract medical entities from many sources at once.
