Starting today, AWS AppSync is available in five new regions: EU (Paris and Stockholm), Canada (Central), South America (Sao Paulo) and US (N. California).

AWS AppSync is a managed GraphQL service that simplifies application development by letting you create a flexible API to securely access, manipulate, and combine data from one or more data sources. With AppSync, you can build scalable applications, including those requiring real-time updates, on a range of data sources such as NoSQL data stores, relational databases, HTTP APIs, and your custom data sources with AWS Lambda. For mobile and web apps, AppSync additionally provides local data access when devices go offline, and data synchronization with customizable conflict resolution, when they are back online.

With this launch, AppSync is now available in 17 regions globally, US East (N. Virginia and Ohio), US West (Oregon and N. California), Canada (Central), South America (Sao Paulo), EU (Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Paris and Stockholm), and Asia Pacific (Sydney, Tokyo, Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore and Beijing).
