Amazon Braket now supports manual qubit allocation

Posted on: Nov 24, 2020

Customers can now explicitly specify which qubits are going to be used when they use Amazon Braket to run a quantum circuit on quantum computers from Rigetti. This allows researchers and advanced users to optimize their circuit design based on the latest device calibration data to get more accurate results.

Using manual qubit allocation, you are in control over which qubits are used for your algorithm. You can inspect the most recent calibration data of your selected quantum processing unit (QPU) device in the Amazon Braket Console or in the Amazon Braket SDK and select the best qubits for your experiment. This allows you to run circuits with greater accuracy and investigate individual qubit properties.
