Amazon Keyspaces (for Apache Cassandra), a scalable, highly available, and fully managed Cassandra-compatible database service, now supports Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance to help you run payment processing workloads more easily.
PCI DSS applies to entities that store, process, or transmit cardholder data or sensitive authentication data. Now, you can run Cassandra workloads that require PCI DSS compliance more easily by using a fully managed and serverless solution. With security and availability features such as default encryption at rest and in transit, audit logging via AWS CloudTrail, and access control with AWS Identity and Access Management roles, Keyspaces helps you meet your PCI DSS workload requirements. You can migrate existing workloads to Keyspaces that require PCI DSS compliance by using open-source tools such as cqlsh.
There is no additional cost for PCI DSS compliance, and it is available in all AWS Regions where Keyspaces is offered. To learn more, see Compliance Validation for Amazon Keyspaces (for Apache Cassandra).
