We recently updated AWS DevOps Monitoring Dashboard, a reference implementation that automates the setup of DevOps metrics dashboards so that customers developing on AWS can measure development activity and identify areas for continued improvement.

AWS provides a set of flexible developer tools that enable customers to host code, build, test, and deploy applications. Each tool provides customers with separate activity and usage metrics. With AWS DevOps Monitoring Dashboard solution, you can capture and analyze metrics across these AWS developer tools and view them from a single dashboard. The solution automates the setup of DevOps dashboards in your AWS pipeline environment so you can quickly start measuring mean time to recover, change failure rate, deployment frequency, deployment status, and code change volume.

Version 1.1 adds support for AWS CodeBuild and AWS CodePipeline related metrics. You can view the total number of builds triggered, including successful and failed builds, as well as build duration at the account or project level. Resource utilization metrics for CPU, memory and storage utilization are viewable at the project or build level. You can also visualize AWS CodePipeline metrics such as pipeline execution state changes, execution duration and execution frequency per AWS account and pipeline as well as state at stage and action level. To get started with the solution, visit the AWS Solution Library or GitHub.
