Amazon Kendra is an intelligent search service powered by machine learning, enabling organizations to provide relevant information to customers and employees, when they need it. Starting today, AWS customers can index and search documents from Microsoft SharePoint 2013 or Microsoft SharePoint 2016 servers.
Critical information can be scattered across multiple data sources in an enterprise, including sources such as SharePoint On-Premise Servers. Amazon Kendra customers can now use the Amazon Kendra SharePoint connector to index documents (HTML, PDF, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and plain text) made available in a SharePoint server that is accessible from their virtual private cloud. Users can search for information across content using Amazon Kendra’s intelligent search. This is in addition to being able to index documents from Microsoft SharePoint Online. Organizations can provide relevant search results from these data sources to users seeking answers to their questions.
