AWS Fault Injection Simulator (FIS) is now available in the AWS GovCloud (US-East and US-West) Regions. The expansion of AWS FIS into the AWS GovCloud (US) Regions allows US government agencies and contractors to create and run fault injection experiments that reveal how their applications respond to stress under real world conditions.

You can use AWS FIS experiments to reproduce disruptions such as EC2 instance terminations and Spot Instance interruptions, API errors, network latency, and RDS database failovers. Because it can be difficult to predict how distributed systems will behave under such conditions, AWS FIS can help you uncover hidden bugs, monitoring blind spots, and performance bottlenecks whether you run fault injection experiments in gameday scenarios, test environments, or production deployments.

You can get started using AWS FIS in the AWS Management Console or using the AWS SDKs and CLI. To learn more about using AWS FIS in AWS GovCloud (US), visit AWS Fault Injection Simulator in the AWS GovCloud (US) User Guide.
