Today, Amazon QuickSight announces the general availability of managing Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) connections via public APIs and an enhanced UX with Multi-AZ support. APIs enable you to create, update, delete, list and describe VPC connections. This launch enables you to create private VPC connections as part of your Infrastructure as Code (IaC) efforts with full support for AWS CloudFormation.

With VPC connection management via APIs, administrators who need to automate deployment processes via IaC can now use these APIs as part of their CI/CD pipelines, removing the need to manually create, delete and update these assets via console. In addition, Amazon QuickSight is also introducing Multi-AZ support for VPC to improve availability in the event of AZ failure. Our enhanced UX/API offering to manage connections will mean customers will also be able to update in addition to creating and deleting VPC Connections as well as describe the state of VPC connections operation in the console and API.

VPC connection via public APIs with Multi-AZ support is now available in all supported Amazon QuickSight regions - US East (N. Virginia and Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU (Frankfurt, Stockholm, Paris, Ireland and London), Asia Pacific (Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), Canada (Central), South America (São Paulo), and AWS GovCloud (US-West).
