AWS Marketplace sellers can now utilize a new, simplified onboarding process to create Vendor Insights security profiles, reducing the time it takes to make their product profiles visible to prospective buyers. AWS Marketplace Vendor Insights allows customers to complete third-party software risk assessments in days instead of months. Sellers with AWS Marketplace Vendor Insights profiles can showcase their security posture while reducing the operational burden of responding to buyer requests for security and risk information.

The new self-service onboarding process enables sellers to complete the initial dashboard without requiring their engineering teams’ assistance. To get started, sellers with SaaS product listings can access the AWS Marketplace Management Portal to upload a self-attestation questionnaire, as well as any relevant product certifications (SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, or FedRAMP). AWS then validates these documents for accuracy and creates the seller’s security profile. Once created, the seller’s security profile can be discovered within the AWS Marketplace catalog, along with their relevant product certifications. Buyers can request access to the security and risk information, which is granted by the seller under NDA.

Vendor Insights is available in all public AWS Regions where AWS Marketplace is available, including the AWS GovCloud (US) Regions.

Sellers can learn more about the new onboarding process by watching the video, or reading the Vendor Insights seller guide. To learn more visit the AWS Marketplace Vendor Insights webpage.
