Today we are announcing the availability of Ansible and Corretto 21 on Amazon Linux 2023 as a part of second quarterly update.
Starting with AL2023.2, customers can utilize Ansible's core set of features, as well as a curated set of community supported Ansible collections. Ansible is a popular model-driven configuration management, multi-node deployment, and remote task execution system. Customers running Ansible on Amazon Linux can simply use it over SSH without additional software or daemons.
With Corretto, you can develop and run Java applications on operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and macOS. Corretto comes with long-term support that will include performance enhancements and security fixes. Amazon Corretto is certified as compatible with the Java SE standard. Starting with AL2023.2, Amazon Corretto 21 is available for installation.
