Amazon QuickSight now supports predictive analytics using machine learning (ML) models created in Amazon SageMaker Canvas, without writing a single line of code. QuickSight authors can now export data to SageMaker Canvas, build ML models, and share them back to QuickSight for consumption. This allows you to build predictive dashboards for better insights. With this new capability, you can evolve your analytics from descriptive to predictive capabilities, enabling the entire organization with a forward-looking view of the business.

Traditional analytics provides a summary of historical and present data to show what has happened or what is currently happening. However, an important aspect to making better business decisions is to understand what could happen using accurate predictions. Starting today, you can send your data from QuickSight to Canvas to build and train ML models without a data science background using a no-code experience. These models can then be consumed in QuickSight to generate accurate predictions on new data. Furthermore, you can get insights with visualizations, build predictive dashboards, and share them with your stakeholders. This enables better decision making for the desired business outcomes across many use cases such as churn prediction, shipment times, loan approvals, and more.

Predictive analytics in QuickSight is now available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Mumbai) regions. To learn more, see the product documentation.
