Amazon ElastiCache now supports network-optimized Graviton3-based C7gn nodes. ElastiCache C7gn nodes feature the new 5th generation AWS Nitro Cards and enable you to achieve the highest network bandwidth across ElastiCache node families for network-intensive workloads.
AWS Graviton3 processors are the latest generation of custom-designed AWS Graviton processors built on the AWS Nitro System. The Nitro System is a collection of AWS-designed hardware and software innovations that enables the delivery of efficient and flexible cloud services with enhanced security, isolated multi-tenancy, private networking, and fast local storage. You can take advantage of the enhanced networking capabilities of C7gn nodes to scale performance and throughput while optimizing the cost of running network-intensive workloads.
To get started, you can create a new cluster through the AWS Management Console, AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), or AWS Software Development Kit (SDK). C7gn nodes are now available for Amazon ElastiCache in the following AWS regions: US East (N. Virginia and Ohio), US West (Oregon), and Europe (Ireland). You can purchase these nodes as On-Demand or as Reserved nodes with a 1- or 3- year commitment period.
