Amazon SageMaker is pleased to announce support for M7i, C7i, and R7i instance types for real-time and asynchronous inference.
M7i, R7i, and C7i instances are powered by custom 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors (code-named Sapphire Rapids) and deliver up to 15% better price performance and 4x the number of EBS attachments compared, respectively, to their previous generation (M6i, R6i, and C6i) instances. With support for new Intel Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX) that accelerate matrix multiplication operations, C7i, M7i, and R7i are a great choice for CPU-based, compute-intensive Machine Learning (ML) workloads.
C7i, M7i and R7i instances are now available to run real-time and asynchronous inference on Amazon SageMaker in US West (Oregon), US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), Europe (Spain), Europe (Ireland), and Europe (Stockholm).
