Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for Oracle now offers memory optimized X2iedn instances in Asia Pacific (Hyderabad, Jakarta and Osaka), Europe (Milan and Paris), US West (N. California), AWS GovCloud (US-East) and AWS GovCloud (US-West).
Amazon RDS for Oracle X2iedn is designed to deliver fast performance for workloads that process large data sets in memory. X2iedn instances are targeted for enterprise-class high performance databases with high compute (up to 128 vCPUs), large memory (up to 4 TB) and storage throughput requirements (up to 256K IOPS) with a 32:1 ratio of memory to vCPU. X2iedn instances support the instance store for temporary tablespace and the Database Smart Flash Cache. For more information, read the Storing temporary data in an RDS for Oracle instance store documentation.
X2iedn instances are available in 7 sizes with 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 96, and 128 vCPUs.
You can launch the new instances in the Amazon RDS Management Console or using the AWS CLI. See Amazon RDS for Oracle Pricing for up-to-date pricing and regional availability.
