Knowledge Bases for Amazon Bedrock securely connects foundation models (FMs) to internal company data sources for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to deliver more relevant and accurate responses. Anthropic’s Claude 3 Haiku foundation model is now generally available on Knowledge Bases. We recently also announced support for Claude 3 Sonnet.
The Claude 3 family of models is the next generation of state-of-the-art models from Anthropic. Claude 3 Haiku is the fastest and most compact model in the Claude 3 model family and is designed for near-instant responsiveness. Claude 3 Haiku is well-suited for knowledge retrieval use cases and tasks that demand rapid responses. Claude 3 Haiku can be accessed through the Retrieve and RetrieveAndGenerate APIs.
The Claude 3 Haiku model for Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases is generally available in the US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) AWS Regions.
