Fireside Chat: Heineken Works with AWS Partner, Schuberg Philis, to Create Its Connected Brewery Platform—Which Gleans Production Insights
Dutch brewing company, Heineken, is innovating digital solutions—and at scale—to meet evolving customer needs and be the best-connected brewer.
Schuberg Philis, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, provides stable, reliable, mission-critical platforms—one of its core competencies. It also specializes in the transition of mission-critical systems to the cloud.
Michael Maagd, head of global portfolio for the Connected Brewery at Heineken, and Roeland Kulpers, chief technology officer (CTO) at Schuberg Philis, join Julia Chen, vice president of AWS Partner Core, in a fireside chat. In this video, learn how Advanced Tier Service Partner and IT business partner Schuberg Philis uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support mission-critical business processes of customers and partners. Heineken, Schuberg Philis, and AWS created an Internet of Things (IoT) platform to increase shop-floor efficiencies, using insights driven by supply chain and production line data. Using a data lake on AWS, Heineken empowers its teams to analyze, adjust, and test use cases in near real time to optimize the production process. After just 2 months, Heineken increased efficiency by over 10 percent. Heineken is deploying its Connected Brewery Platform to 140 breweries around the globe, with 53 breweries connected as of November 30, 2023.
The Connected Brewery platform was not a solution looking for a problem, but it really helped us to create the next generation of workers.”
