Open Source at AWS

Connecting cloud, community, and code

Amazon Web Services is part of the open source ecosystem contributing to hundreds of projects for more than a decade. Open Source at AWS is about passion and dedication to code and contributors. We continue to widen our collaboration with the community to grow code contributions and to sustain the overall health of the open source ecosystem. AWS is committed to adding value to both existing and new projects that are created by the open source community and to our developers, customers, and partners.

Projects & Code

We've been making large, medium and small-sized contributions to open source projects like Linux, Chromium, Xen and Apache MXNet. We use and release open source code. Our code is released under popular open source licenses including Apache 2.0.
