Group Learning Terms & Conditions
The AWS Modern Applications Web Day Hong Kong Group Learning (“Offer” or “Group Learning”) begins at 12:01am Hong Kong Time (“HKT”) on 31 October, 2022, and ends at 11:59pm HKT on 30 November, 2022, or when supplies of Prize (defined below) are exhausted, whichever occurs first (“Offer Period”). The number of Prize is limited.

Open to individuals who are (1) at least 18 years of age; (2) a registered attendee of the AWS Modern Applications Web Day Hong Kong (the “Event”) scheduled to take place online https://aws.amazon.com/events/modern-apps-web-day-hk/, and (3) a resident in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China (“Hong Kong”) (each, a “Participant”, collectively, “Participants”). Offer is void where prohibited by law. Amazon Web Services, Inc. (“AWS”) and our affiliates’ employees and their immediate family members, and associates enrolled in the Amazon Associates program, are not eligible to participate. Limit one entry per new AWS account only.

All eligible entries received during the Offer Period will be validated and Prize will be granted to Participants who are qualified, based on the following rules:

• Participants need to form a group of 4 people (“Group”);
• A representative of each Group (each, a “Group Leader”) needs to apply for Group Learning through an email application to aws-hk@amazon.com with Email Subject “Nov 17 Modern Apps Web Day Group Application”;
• Each Participant must have a valid AWS Account that is created after 12:01am HKT 31 October, 2022. The email application must contain 4 registered email addresses of the Event and respective 4 AWS Account IDs; and
• Submissions of Participants’ application will be validated based on “first come first served” rules and on the verification with valid emails and AWS Account IDs as set forth above.
• During the Offer Period, Participants need to attend the AWS Modern Applications Web Day Hong Kong by logging in to the event platform (Go-To-Webinar) using the same email address they registered for the Event.
• Prizes are distributed on first come first served basis, while supplies last.

During the Offer Period, a total of 100 pieces of HKD$500 Deliveroo vouchers shall be given out as Prize. Eligible groups of 4 attendees who are qualified for the Prize based on the rules set forth above will receive an email within 20 business days after 30 November 2022. All email addresses in the same group will receive the email with the voucher.

The prize redemption email will contain a voucher code for online redemption. The use of the voucher is subject to the supplier’s terms and conditions at https://deliveroo.hk/en/legal. Failure to receive the email due to email blockage may result in Participants being deemed ineligible. AWS handles your information as described in the AWS Privacy Notice, available at https://aws.amazon.com/privacy.

The approximate retail value of each of the prize is HKD$500. AWS reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) for an item of comparable or greater value, at AWS’s sole discretion.

Entries that do not meet the requirements set forth in these Terms and Conditions may be disqualified in AWS’s sole discretion.

By accepting the Prize, you confirm that your receipt is neither prohibited nor inconsistent with any applicable laws, regulations, or binding orders, including applicable ethics or procurement rules, your receipt will not create a conflict of interest for AWS, and there are no ongoing competitive procurements for which your receipt of this benefit could conflict with AWS's execution of the Contest.

Not combinable with any other offer and cannot be redeemed for cash. This Offer and any products provided in connection with this Offer are not transferable. Void where prohibited by law. Limit one (1) Offer per group for the entire Offer Period. Limit one (1) redemption of Prize per group and repeated redemption will be deemed void. Participants who receive the Prize through this Offer (“Offer Recipients”) are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, if any.

General Conditions: The Offer is sponsored by AWS. AWS reserves the right to cancel or modify the Offer at any time and for any reason. Offer may be withdrawn without prior notice. Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, incomplete, garbled, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, or undelivered Offer requests; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the offer, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Offer, the processing of Offer requests, or in any Offer-related materials. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer or printer related to or resulting from participating in this Offer or downloading materials from or use of the Event or Offer website.

Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Offer, as solely determined by AWS, will be disqualified. Should any portion of the Offer be, in AWS’s sole opinion, compromised by bugs, virus, worms, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, which, in the sole opinion of AWS, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or submission of information, AWS reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate the Offer.

By participating, you agree (i) to be bound by these terms and conditions, the AWS Event Terms and Conditions and the decisions of AWS which are final and binding. and (ii) to release and hold harmless AWS, their parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (“Released Parties”) against any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Offer or acceptance and use of the AWS Souvenir. To the extent permitted by law, this promotion is governed by laws of the state of Washington, USA. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this promotion must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in King County, Washington, USA.
