The AWS Modern Applications Web Day Hong Kong Group Learning (“Offer” or “Group Learning”) begins at 12:01am Hong Kong Time (“HKT”) on 31 October, 2022, and ends at 11:59pm HKT on 30 November, 2022, or when supplies of Prize (defined below) are exhausted, whichever occurs first (“Offer Period”). The number of Prize is limited.

Open to individuals who are (1) at least 18 years of age; (2) a registered attendee of the AWS Modern Applications Web Day Hong Kong (the “Event”) scheduled to take place online, and (3) a resident in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China (“Hong Kong”) (each, a “Participant”, collectively, “Participants”). Offer is void where prohibited by law. Amazon Web Services, Inc. (“AWS”) and our affiliates’ employees and their immediate family members, and associates enrolled in the Amazon Associates program, are not eligible to participate. Limit one entry per new AWS account only.

All eligible entries received during the Offer Period will be validated and Prize will be granted to Participants who are qualified, based on the following rules:

  • Participants need to form a group of 4 people (“Group”);

  • Prizes are distributed on first come first served basis, while supplies last.

During the Offer Period, a total of 100 pieces of HKD$500 Deliveroo vouchers shall be given out as Prize. Eligible groups of 4 attendees who are qualified for the Prize based on the rules set forth above will receive an email within 20 business days after 30 November 2022. Best practices for deploying containers (English | Level 200)

Building applications with containers has become the preferred approach for developers. Twelve-Factor App, a methodology for building software-as-a-service apps has become the most popular and adopted methodology to design and architect applications in the cloud. In this session, we deep dive into how you can implement each factor in the Twelve-Factor App methodology with AWS Copilot to run and operate scalable, reliable, secure, and extensible apps with Amazon ECS. We also tackle how to overcome the lengthy process to run apps in the cloud and make it a non-trivial challenge to get the apps to the market, even if an app is running in localhost.

Danny Tung is Assistant IT Director of HKET. He is leading over 40 IT talents to develop mobile apps, data technology and ML/AI solutions. Also, he is one of the members of CCOE team, responsible for landing zone and cloud migration projects in HKET.
Donnie Prakoso has over than 17 years of experience in the technology industry, from telecommunications, banking to startups. In his current role as the Principal Developer Advocate at AWS covering ASEAN and AEM, Donnie specializes in containers, serverless computing, and microservices integration patterns and machine learning.
Raymond is a technical trainer in Great China Region for over 20 years. He has a solid knowledge in teaching Architecture, and Application Development to Government Enterprise, Small and Medium Business and Universities.  He is an experienced IT consultant in many projects including web and app development, intranet and portal development, server setup and configuration.
To prove his skills level, Raymond has got multiple professional IT certificates.  Moreover, learning new technology skills and providing education is one of his interests, and he wants everyone to enjoy learning as well.  Currently he is putting his efforts in teaching AWS to let his students to enjoy the learning and get the achievements in the AWS.
Raymond Lai is a Senior Solutions Architect at AWS Hong Kong. Raymond is a fanatic about serverless and enjoys helping customers understand how serverless technologies introduces a major paradigm shift in how they approach building and running applications at massive scale, agile with minimal administration overhead.

Prior to joining AWS, Raymond has worked as consultant and system architect at other US-based AWS partner vendors.
Working as a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services Hong Kong, Benson is passionate about helping customers build infrastructures and applications in cloud at scale. Benson joined AWS in March of 2019, bringing in solid experiences in Security, Business Intelligence and Mobile Device Management. Prior to AWS, Benson was a Regional System Engineer who assists some of the largest accounts across Internet and Finance industries in APAC to architect and deploy mobile device management solutions.

Aaron Chong is a Solutions Architect at AWS Hong Kong. He specializes in the data analytics domain and works with a wide range of enterprise customers to design and implement serverless data architectures, modernize data engineering practices, and advocate AI/ML adoptions.
