AWS Outposts rack is a fully managed service that extends AWS infrastructure, services, APIs, and tools on premises for a truly consistent hybrid experience. Outposts rack is delivered as an industry-standard 42U rack and can scale to multiple rack deployments. Outposts rack is ideal for applications that need to run on premises to meet low latency requirements. You can also use Outposts rack to process and manage data locally and effectively meet your data residency requirements.
With the availability of Outposts rack in the AWS Secret Region, customers and partners can leverage AWS Services to run their workloads and data in country in their on-premises facilities and connect to the AWS Secret Region for management and operations.
You can now run Amazon EC2, Amazon EBS, container-based services such as Amazon ECS, database services such as Amazon RDS on AWS Outposts, and analytics services such as Amazon EMR locally on your Outposts racks and connect to a broad range of services available in the AWS Secret Region.
