Sunghun Kim is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and currently leading the Naver Clova AI team in Korea. His core research area is Machine Learning and Software Engineering, focusing on software evolution mining, program analysis, and empirical studies. He received Most Influential Paper at ICSME2018 (from his ICSME 2008 paper). He is a four-time winner of the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award (ICSE 2007, ASE 2012, ICSE 2013 and ISSTA 2014).

His online deep learning course, including how to use AWS ML services, has more than 4M views and 27K subscribers. He is a co-founder of Tensorflow Korean Community with 39K membership and frequently speaks about Machine Learning and deep learning frameworks. Examples include an MXNet presentation at the AWS Summit Seoul 2017, Tensorflow GPU at AWS, and a Deep Learning on AWS Meetup.
