64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Version release notes
Added: unstructured_text mask type for text documents and text columns in databases. Supports context-based entity detection, seed file matching, regex patterns, checksums, and AI-powered detection (with the optional DataMasque AI Engine) alongside deterministic hashing. Searchable documentation within the DataMasque UI. log_row_key_on_failure option to mask_table tasks to report the primary key of rows that cause masking errors. New Disable Checkout option in Contract License settings, allowing contract licenses to be checked back in to AWS when migrating instances. Added Oracle Linux as a supported installation platform.
Changed: Ruleset Generator now generates address masking rules in least-specific to most-specific order, for custom localities that traditionally use this format (JP, CN, KR). Processes in containers no longer run as the root user.
Fixed: secure_shuffle on Snowflake hybrid tables now produces consistent masking results across multiple runs (for the same run secret). max_rows option now correctly limits the number of rows being masked. AWS Cloud Contract licenses now correctly validate in EKS environments when pods are rescheduled to different nodes. disable_warning_on_glacier_storage and disable_warning_on_use_of_conditionals options are now being read correctly from rulesets. Fixed DynamoDB masking errors when ruleset contains incorrect table keys. Redshift masking no longer fails if column names contain special characters. EKS no longer shows spurious licensing errors in log files.
