Quick and simple

What do you like best about the product?
I work at a small school and I am not a trained techie. Realising that whilst having an on-site backup of the server protects us against data loss due to drive failure it doesn't protect us if the server is lost due to fire or theft. In looking for off-site backup options the choice was between managed and self managed. I tried the product on a home computer and installation / setup was straightforward. I was therefore confident to set it up on the school server. Again it was a straightforward instalation and setup. The daily backups with completion notifications has worked well as has being able to target specific folders for each user. After trialing and finding it straightforward we decided to miss out the middleman and self-manage the backup using this software. Encryption on upload.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside that I've found is that, as with other backup systems, including just copying files, there is a character limit on the filename and path. With some repeatedly nested folders this took the files over the limit so they would not backup. Simple workaround deployed and problem solved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protection from the school losing significant, irreplaceable and important data due to loss of the on-site server.

Seems good for a backup tool

What do you like best about the product?
Easy scheduled backups to AWS Glacier. Wizard walks through setting up a backup and is pretty easy to go through. UI is reasonable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some terms are confusing, little help is provided in the wizard. I'm sure that there are tons of browser cache files and similar that are now going to be backed up as there is no obvious way for a normal person to exclude them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy scheduled backups to AWS Glacier

    Computer Software

great cloud backup manager

What do you like best about the product?
Backup and recovery is a key process for myself and my company. To say I have been let down with desktop backup devices and software is understatement. I use cloud servers as a redundant backup and managing the files through the available cloud UI is time consuming and error prone. MSP360 has an intuitive interface - I was up and running in 10 minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
More scheduling options would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
backing up mission critical data freeing up my time and local resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you are keeping backups on a local external drive, I strongly recommend a 2nd backup. I have a garage full of failed disk drives. Several backup hardware and software failures resulted in substantial loss.

Easy to use and worked first time

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using this software for 10 days and its Interface is easy to use and quite intuitive - plus its very comprehensive in terms of specifying the period to backup and with or without encryption/compression and but the real seller is that I can specify which cloud storage I want - its the only software I could find that would allow that - its not very expensive given the amount of functionality that you get.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet - so far its all been smooth sailing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were not getting reliable backups across all our PC and Servers - we have installed this onto 4 different machines plus 3 Virtual Machines in Azure and its been working great.

Great backup to your choice of cloud storage

What do you like best about the product?
The pricing model works well for me - pretty cheap one-off cost for the software, then I can backup to Azure or AWS storage that I pay for and manage directly - no worries about Cloudberry owning my data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The backup management (how long backups are kept etc) is not quite as powerful as some competitors, but they are improving that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I now have much better management of the PCs I run. I have OneDrive backed up to a separate location, and rotating backup for other non-OneDrive files. I'm just paying now the bulk price for the storage I use.

Best online backup that I have used

  • October 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have only recently begun using Cloudberry, but have used others in the past, most recently Crashplan. Cloudberry is very reasonably priced, very easy to configure, is fast, is not resource hungry. I am using Cloudberry with Backblaze B2 and could not be more pleased.
What do you dislike about the product?
Thus far I have found nothing that I dislike about either the desktop app or the service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudberry Backup provides peace of mind knowing that I have found a very solid and reliable long term backup solution for my company.

Great application for local and cloud backup

  • October 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We can choose many cloud storage, no need to stick with any specific provider.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not good to add bucket in b2 cloud, there are some work around but little bit buggy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main reason is very light software which can do anything like image backup, cloud backup and storage backup.

What do you like best about the product?
Love the interface and this is the way to backup now. Everything else is outdated method
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing but perhaps the annual upgrade minatenance cost should not be a subscription fee
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reliable backups

Bring Your Own Cloud Made Simple *Unless you are using it in Docker*

  • October 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's quite intuitive to go from installing the application (or a Docker container of it) to completing a backup.
You get a 14 day trial without any other limitations to make sure it works.
It is FAST (unlike Duplicati), and low memory usage (unlike CrashPlan).
Multiple schedules for different backup sets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Docker container version of it has some pitfalls -- so if you are trying to use it in a container, DON'T -- they will not support it.
It's not free... but it's only so good because it's not free.
It's not open source.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up my business and personal data (about 1TB+) was a cinch (to B2 and S3). I have gone through several other backup clients before choosing this.
I will save money and add more reliability on rolling my own cloud backup vs. relying on a third party backup service.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it before you buy it!

Great solution for backup

  • October 10, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We've been testing this software for backup for the past month. So far we love the ability to backup to Amazon S3
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we haven't found anything we don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used several backup solutions that work out well but then they make a change and backups quit and we can't get any support and we're trapped. This way, we aren't trapped with our backups. We know they are on our own account at S3.
