What is our primary use case?
My main use case for SonicWall NSv is configuring SSL VPN accounts and setting up remote access for VPNs.
As a specific example of how I use SonicWall NSv for VPNs or remote access, I download NetExtender for the client, then go into SonicWall and set up a user account using the WAN address for the login. I set up a username and password, and document the domain, configuring that on their NetExtender on the client side and logging them into SonicWall so they have access to the company shared drives.
What is most valuable?
One of the best features SonicWall NSv offers is the LDAP feature, where you can use the Active Directory account to use the NetExtender client-side login that integrates with Active Directory.
The LDAP integration with Active Directory has made my workflow much more efficient and easier to configure the VPNs, allowing me to set up for the user and log them into SonicWall.
SonicWall NSv has positively impacted my organization by allowing our customers to access data 24 hours, seven days a week, making it a wonderful feature for business continuity for our customers.
Since implementing SonicWall NSv, I have noticed increased productivity, allowing users to access secure data in the network through a VPN, a virtual private tunnel, enabling them to work from home.
What needs improvement?
SonicWall NSv can be improved by maintaining its security with up-to-date patches and ensuring it has the latest updates to secure the device.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
SonicWall NSv is very stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Its scalability is excellent, and there is no downtime for the customer when they are accessing their remote data, allowing them access to confidential data within the company using the SSL VPN.
How are customer service and support?
Customer support is excellent, and every time I have had to call with any issues, they have been resolved right away.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have always used SonicWall, so I did not previously use a different solution before SonicWall NSv.
How was the initial setup?
I use my.sonicwall.com to license all the devices, and then I deploy the devices on-premises.

I have seen a return on investment with SonicWall NSv as it allows customers to constantly have access to their secure data, making it very efficient for our customers.

I did not evaluate other options before choosing SonicWall NSv, as it was the product of choice when I joined the company.

My advice for others looking into using SonicWall NSv is to make sure the firmware is always up to date on the device so that there is no downtime.

What I like best about SonicWall Next Generation Firewall is how solid and easy it is to work with. It gives strong security without adding extra complexity, and the performance is always dependable. As a distributor, its simple to explain to partners, I use it frequently and set up reporting mix it easy for them to see the real value as its integration is easy. It provides strong customer support .
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don’t like about the SonicWall Next-Gen Firewall is that some advanced settings feel a bit complicated for new partners, and a few updates can take more time than expected. Just a bit more simplicity would make it even easier to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a distributor, I find that it simplifies conversations since partners can easily understand the value. It’s straightforward for me to position, demonstrate, and sell, which saves time, decreases support queries, and helps build customer confidence.

SonicWall’s Deep Packet Inspection and Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection (RTDMI) block ransomware, phishing, and zero-day malware — even when it’s hidden in encrypted SSL/TLS traffic.
This drastically reduces infection risks, downtime, and potential data breaches.

The best thing about sonicwall is that it allows anyone in the organisation to access the main company network from anywhere in the world while maintaining the safety protocols. It establishes a safe and secure connection so that every work can be done with privacy and safety. Sonicwall is easy to use as it has all the necessary controls in the welcome screen. I frequently use it for my official work. It also has many features one of them is that it provides flexibility of changing the company network. Also it is very easy to implement and install.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that I dislike about sonic wall is the user interface. It could have been a little more intuitive and user friendly. Current UI is usable but lacks the smooth user experience feel.

Sonicwall as a tool allows me to safely access my company network while it eliminates all the possible threats which can affect my system and my work. It has been providing safe working environment to many people in world due to which it is one of the top software in industry in this domain.
