Best APM tool to monitor end to end applications but lacks robust logging management capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
APM,Infra,DB and business transaction monitoring for applications.
Supports multiple technology stack and DB's monitoring.
Easy to use UI and dashboard capabilities.

What do you dislike about the product?
Log management is not robust and there is no easy way to get logs from containers and k8s.
Documentation is huge and very difficult to get specific info.
Need to install many agents such as APM,Analystics,Infra, DB specific agent there is no single agent installation to monitor end to end application.

What do you like best about the product?
I am working as a Performance Engineer, and I use appdynamics for the application performance measurement . What I like about this tool is, It makes life easy when you have to capture server metrics. Plus easy to create a dashboard for essential metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
The granularity of data points decreases if you don't take the metrics immediately after the test.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I said earlier, I am working as a performance engineer. Appdynamics helps me in monitoring the load test, and I can see the server metrics as well as the details of high response transactions.

The detail in which it provides the insights along with the deep traces of the code

The UI part is what I dislike the most. UI should be more simple as compared to what it is right now

I am solving most of my Memory and Thread leak problems via AppDynamics. Along with that we were able to identify some potential bottlenecks in Database by its deep tracing

AppDynamics community support is really strong so even if you are not premium member of its product. You can reach out to community regarding your issue and the resolution is strong.

What do you dislike about the product?
In terms of dashboard I believe there is plenty of room for improvement as it's lacking many advance like searching data within the dashboard is not possible.

Little expensive. There are some limitations w.r.t monitoring and log

The solution has a wide variety of use cases to monitor your application environment. Provide in-depth visibility in your application performance to different levels of audience. However, ensure you validate use cases for log and network monitoring.

During application problems, there are limitations to capturing snapshots and full call graphs. Customization is often needed for monitoring applications.

Configuration of alerts When a page is slow, we get emails based on settings, so we'll know when the app is slow, which will help us boost scalability.

there is a performance issues experienced between systems and API that we need to resolve. AppDynamics helped us realize where the focus of our investigation should be and made the whole investigation easier

This is very good tool in terms of finding out the latency in System and also we can drill down in connection pooling and other network related stuff.

We are solving Application latency issues specially and find out the Queries/DB/connection issue respectively.
