What do you like best about the product?
High technical efficiency, very low false-positive rate, high availability, high technical skills from the TAM and support teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
None.... ah of course the solution comes with a price but that's a common issue on SaaS platform ;)

DataDome is used to block non legitimate traffic coming from bot scrapping and automatedvulnerability scanners

Seamless Integration, Real-Time Protection

What do you like best about the product?
We like that DataDome is able to block fake traffic in real-time, which helps to reduce costs on infrastructure and minimizes noise for our clients. We also appreciate the seamless integration, as it was very easy to integrate within our platform. The real-time impact of blocking unwanted bad traffic is a significant benefit, making my experience with DataDome valuable.

Nothing

We use DataDome to block harmful bot clicks in real-time, preventing costly infrastructure load and reducing noise for clients. It's easy to integrate and quickly eliminates fake traffic.

What do you like best about the product?
We appreciate how straightforward it was to integrate DataDome into our platform. The JavaScript and SDK packages support a wide range of detection and protection methods, including CAPTCHA and device checks.
Our platform runs on AWS CloudFront, and integrating the DataDome Lambda was simple and efficient. The dashboards provide clear visibility into traffic patterns and performance, with flexible reporting options that support both investigations and executive reporting.
The models require minimal maintenance and adapt well to our traffic patterns. This has helped reduce false positives while keeping friction low for legitimate users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main limitation we’ve encountered is the relatively low number of endpoints allowed per workspace. It would be helpful if this scaled more flexibly based on pricing tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were dealing with malicious traffic that bypassed our rate limits and static detection rules. Attackers would continuously adjust their behavior to avoid detection.
DataDome has significantly improved our ability to detect credential stuffing attempts and other unauthorized access activity. As a result, we’ve strengthened account protection without increasing friction for legitimate users.

Datadome - Effective bot protection solution

What do you like best about the product?
We have been a DataDome customer since 2023, and it has been genuinely game‑changing for us. It protects key endpoints and services against malicious traffic and automated bots, and the initial setup was straightforward. The dashboards and detection models provide clear, real‑time visibility into our traffic and ongoing attacks.
Their combination of AI-driven detection and customizable rules gives us granular control across different services and devices. Overall, the product and the support team have been excellent, especially considering we previously had no effective way to manage bot traffic.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had a few minor concerns around understanding the exact causes of some blocked events, even though the number of false positives is very low. However, DataDome’s technical support team has consistently investigated these cases and provided updated rules or clear explanations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our platform initially improved against brute‑force and other malicious traffic, but attackers quickly adapted by slowing their request rates and switching to residential ISP IPs to mimic real users. Traditional hard rules and rate‑limits were no longer effective, so we needed a more advanced detection approach.
DataDome checked all our requirements. Their combination of client‑side detection, AI, and machine learning has significantly reduced threats while maintaining a very low false‑positive rate. Features like their CAPTCHA and device‑based checks have been especially impactful in countering credential‑stuffing attacks.

What do you like best about the product?
The support team. When we're dealing with active attacks, their responsiveness makes all the difference. They engage quickly and help us shut things down instead of leaving us waiting on ticket escalations. Beyond that, the platform itself is straightforward to manage, which matters when you need to move fast during an incident or adding a key integration. Detection/prevention works well across different attack vectors, and integrations have been smooth but do require customer effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't offer the same level of granular control you can find with some other competitors. That said, it's not a dealbreaker. In fact, the platform does a better job at actual protection, and I'd rather have effectiveness and ease of management than endless configuration options to tune.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataDome provides protection against things like credential stuffing attacks and stolen credit card authorization testing. These are high-volume automate threats that can cause real damage if not stopped quickly. The benefits are twofold: we get effective protection without needing a dedicated team to manage a complex platform, and when attacks spike, their support team helps us clamp down on it fast. That responsiveness during active incidents has real value when you're implementing measures to protect customer accounts and prevent fraud.

What do you like best about the product?
Industry-Leading Detection: The most sincere compliment I can give is that our reputation precedes us; we’ve heard at industry conferences that our services are among the most difficult to scrape. DataDome’s ability to distinguish between sophisticated "gray" traffic and legitimate users—without adding friction—is exceptional.

Seamless Integration & Flexibility: One of DataDome’s greatest strengths is the "speed to value." For our standard stacks, the pre-built integrations are robust and stable. However, for our more complex, custom architectures, their well-documented public API allowed our engineering teams to implement protection exactly where we needed it without compromising performance.

A True Partnership in Support: Unlike many "set-and-forget" SaaS vendors, DataDome provides a high-touch support experience. Having access to their team via a dedicated Slack channel and a responsive support portal has been a game-changer. Whether it’s a routine query or a high-pressure mitigation event, they act as an extension of our own team rather than just a service provider.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform itself is highly reliable and performs as advertised, we are currently navigating the broader industry shift toward Agentic AI.

The Challenge of AI Agents: We are facing complex questions regarding how to evolve bot protection when the line between a malicious bot and a legitimate AI agent acting on behalf of a human begins to blur. Shaping protection policies in this new era is a significant challenge for any security stack.

A Collaborative Evolution: That being said, this isn't so much a "dislike" of the product as it is an observation of the current landscape. We recognize that DataDome is at the forefront of this research. We are actively working with them to define how to handle these autonomous agents to ensure we remain protected without blocking the next generation of legitimate user tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary objective is to safeguard our intellectual property and proprietary know-how, which we have meticulously built over many years. In a highly competitive market, unfair data scraping is a constant threat to our competitive advantage. DataDome serves as our first line of defense, ensuring that our data remains ours.

Beyond content protection, DataDome solves several critical operational issues for us:

1. Securing Critical User Journeys: We rely on the platform to protect high-stakes touchpoints, such as our login and registration pages. By mitigating credential stuffing and account takeover (ATO) attempts, we protect our users' trust and reduce the burden on our support and security teams.
2. Ad Fraud Mitigation: In large organization, our marketing spend is significant. DataDome helps us ensure that our ad budgets are spent on genuine human engagement rather than being drained by click-fraud bots. This has directly improved our ROI and the accuracy of our marketing analytics.
3. Infrastructure Stability: By filtering out malicious automated traffic at the edge, we’ve significantly reduced unnecessary load on our internal systems, leading to better performance for legitimate users and lower infrastructure costs.

What do you like best about the product?
Datadome does a great job protecting us against bot scraping and L7 DDOS. So far we had a great overall experience. Integration in our system went smooth. Protection could then be activated selectively for our different endpoint groups. Configuration and traffic inspection is very simple thx to Datadome's dashboard. Last but not least Datadome Support engineers are always available and ready to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration requires more effort than for typical DDoS protection services as traffic filtering is happening using our infra. However this is compensated by a competitive pricing.

Bot scraping protection.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate DataDome for providing excellent bot protection on our sites, which are targeted daily by attacks. The effectiveness of its bot protection has significantly reduced the frequency of attacks, including DDoS attacks, which used to slow down our sites considerably. The support offered is fantastic; for non-critical issues, responses are received within 24 hours, while critical support is immediate. This responsiveness is invaluable. The site’s navigation is straightforward and intuitive, making it easy to use. DataDome offers a very powerful set of tools that cater specifically to our needs, especially with its advanced bot protection capabilities, differentiating it from alternatives like Cloudflare. The initial setup was a breeze, with an engineer guiding us through the configuration, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Overall, these features make DataDome an indispensable asset for our company’s protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is pricey to a degree.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use DataDome for excellent bot protection on sites heavily targeted by daily attacks. It has significantly reduced DDoS attacks, improved site speed, and offers great support and intuitive navigation.

Excellent Bot Protection and Insights, But Pricing Needs Flexibility

What do you like best about the product?
DataDome is very easy to use and provides strong protection against bots and DDoS attacks.
The dashboard is clear and detailed, making it simple to understand traffic patterns.
It also integrates well with AWS CloudFront and Lambda@Edge, and the daily or weekly reports are very helpful for quick monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
The service is quite expensive, especially for high-traffic sites.
We need to limit which requests are sent to DataDome to control costs, focusing only on critical endpoints.
More flexible pricing or built-in traffic filtering would be a big improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataDome protects our website from malicious bots and DDoS attacks, keeping the service stable.
It automatically filters bad traffic, which saves us a lot of time on manual monitoring and maintenance.

What do you like best about the product?
Datadome has proven to be an effective solution for bot prevention. One of the aspects we value most is its clear and intuitive user interface, which simplifies daily management tasks. The web interface enhances our ability to analyze traffic by providing detailed visibility into requests, allowing us to quickly detect and address new patterns of bot activity. Since implementing Datadome, we have experienced a significant decrease in false positives when blocking legitimate users, leading to a better user experience and less strain on our support team. Additionally, the support team stands out for being highly responsive, knowledgeable, and always available whenever we require assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, Datadome is not a budget-friendly option, and I found the integration process to be rather challenging, taking a considerable amount of time to finish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, we faced numerous ATO attacks and our users often had a frustrating experience, as our old solutions would just block access entirely. Since switching to Datadome, we’re able to present challenges instead, allowing genuine customers to prove themselves and continue using our services without being unfairly blocked.
